Podcast Episode 1: AI Generated Transcript

Hello and welcome to my inaugural podcast post for Level Up M365. I’m Joe, a graduate of Western Governors University, and today, I’ll provide a brief overview of myself, my site, and what you can anticipate here.

Like many millennials, my journey into IT began at a young age, tinkering with Windows and DOS computers. This early exposure ignited my interest in the industry. During my teenage years and early twenties, I worked at a restaurant, managing schedules with Excel and crafting emails, even as a busboy and cook. This hands-on experience not only complemented my IT background but also shaped my perspective on earning a living doing something I enjoyed.

Transitioning to a traditional help desk role coincided with the emergence of the iPhone. This period marked a significant phase in my IT career, aligning with the transformative era ushered in by Apple’s groundbreaking device. From setting up enterprise email on the iPhone to aiding the shift from Blackberries to iPhones, my journey paralleled the technological advancements of the time.

As for my tech preferences, I’m currently recording this episode on my iPhone 13 Mini, appreciating its compact design and superb camera. While I acknowledge the appeal of Android, the iOS ecosystem aligns well with my busy lifestyle as a parent. For computing, I favor my iPad Pro 12.9 with the Magic keyboard, using it as a thin client to remote into PCs for both work and personal projects.

Now, why am I here? This site, powered by WordPress, serves a dual purpose. Firstly, it’s a platform to give back to the community by sharing automations, problem-solving insights within Microsoft 365, and occasionally delving into Windows topics. Secondly, it functions as a personal reference manual, aiding me in troubleshooting and documenting solutions for various IT challenges.

Expect to find content related to Microsoft 365, specifically collaboration apps like SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, OneNote, and the relatively new Microsoft Loop. Additionally, I’ll share insights into automations within the Power Platform, occasional software development projects involving Python, JavaScript, JSON, and Power Fx.

While some posts may delve into technical details, I aim to make them accessible and useful. Feel free to explore the site, rate and share my content, and connect with me through the contact page if you have any questions. I’m excited to grow and engage with the community. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to our future interactions. Talk to you later!
